Chopstix for Charity

Every year, the National Association of Asian American Professionals Atlanta chapter (NAAAP Atlanta) hosts a casino night fundraising event called Chopstix for Charity. This year's Chopstix was held at East Andrews Entertainment District. I've been volunteering with this organization for four years running now. We raise funds throughout the year and particularly on this night to distribute to smaller Asian-affiliated charities in the metro Atlanta community.

I spent the evening sitting at a table selling raffle tickets, which had several prizes ranging from gift cards to domestic airline tickets. There was also a live auction where three Samsung Galaxy S3s, the latest iPad, and freshwater pearl necklaces (among other items) were sold to the highest bidders. It was a lovely event that was more intimate than years past. It's always nice to get dressed up for an evening!
