I'm afraid I can't take credit for making these. Do: These homemade chocolate cupcakes appeared at a friend's birthday gathering. Baked by one friend and frosted by another, the cupcakes were moist, fluffy, and light. I was amazed by the last adjective because traditionally American desserts are heavy. Both the cake and the frosting were amazing! I found out that the cupcakes were vegan - no eggs or milk - and was given the term "depression era chocolate cake" to google. I found a recipe and will have another post about my adventure into vegan territory. To be continued!
